Custom Design
The 1.29ct sapphire at its heart is a natural, unheated stone, oval cut, in a deep saturated blue that stays luminous rather than turning inky as the light drops. That balance is the rare part. Many blue sapphires are either too pale to read as royal blue or so dark they close up indoors. This one holds a vivid, even blue in any light, which is exactly the quality the royal blue grade describes. It is set on fine claws in platinum, the cool white metal keeping the blue pure and true.
On each side, a single pear diamond points inward toward the sapphire and tapers smoothly down into the band. The result is a clean three-stone design, the sapphire flanked by two bright white diamonds that frame the colour without crowding it. There is no halo and no pavé, nothing to distract from the stone at the centre. The whole design exists to let the sapphire command the eye, with the diamonds as quiet punctuation on either side.
Platinum is the deliberate choice for the metal. An unheated royal blue sapphire has earned its colour in the ground over millions of years with nothing done to it, and only a laboratory certificate can confirm both the grade and the absence of heat.
