This art deco chevron wedding bands was designed as a conversation between two ideas. The ladies’ band rises to a gentle point at the centre, a chevron that sits softly against the finger, and along its length runs a row of fine fluting, each ridge catching light like a line of narrow baguettes standing side by side. The men’s band answers it in a quieter register: a broad flat profile in warm champagne gold, half of it brushed to a soft matte and half polished to a clean shine, so the light breaks across it in two different ways.

Worn together, the two bands nest. The point of the ladies’ chevron settles toward the men’s band below it, and the cool white of her ring sits against the warm gold of his, a small study in contrast that is really the point of a his and hers set. Two rings that are clearly a pair without being identical, the way the two people wearing them are.

Neither band leans on a centre stone. The interest lives entirely in the metalwork, in the rhythm of the fluting and the play of matte against polish, which is a harder thing to get right than it looks. A plain band has nowhere to hide, so every proportion has to be correct. These were shaped and finished by hand to sit comfortably for a lifetime of daily wear.

Where Art Deco Meets Modern

The ladies’ band takes its cue from Art Deco, the design language of the 1920s and 30s that prized geometry, symmetry and bold repeating line. Two of that era’s favourite motifs meet in this custom ring. The chevron, the clean V that reads as a quiet peak, was everywhere in Deco design, and the fluting, a run of parallel ridges catching light in ordered rhythm, is pure Deco geometry rendered small. It gives the band a sense of structure and movement that a plain profile never could.

The men’s band pulls in the opposite direction, and deliberately so. Where hers is patterned and pointed, his is broad, flat and unadorned, a modern band that lets the warmth of champagne gold and the contrast of its two finishes do all the work. Champagne gold itself sits between the tones, softer than yellow and warmer than white, a muted, understated gold that suits a man who wants presence without shine. Put the two rings together and you have the whole idea in the hand at once: Deco geometry beside modern restraint, pattern beside plane, cool beside warm.
