Heart-shape diamond - brilliant diamond unique wedding proposal ring or valentine's gift | local Singapore Custom made jewellery

Heart-shaped Diamond

Heart-shape diamond - brilliant diamond | Custom made jewellery

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, are you looking for a romantic gift or a surprise engagement proposal?

Heart-shaped diamond, a classic symbol of romance and love. Heart diamond has been around for a long time, they are one-of-a-kind anniversary gifts and engagement ring. Although it might not be trendy as traditional round brilliant, they are bold and distinctive choice.

Heart-Shaped Cut

One of the most difficult cut and require extremely dedicated skill on the shape proportion. Unlike round cut diamonds, which provide a detail grading system of cut, polish and symmetry in GIA report. Heart shaped diamonds are fancy cut diamond, which provide only on polish and symmetry. Cut grading information is not provided, as the priority is on the overall proportion. They could be too narrow cut or fat which are undesirable.

An optimum proportion heart-shaped diamond, display a balanced scintillation pattern and reflect great brilliance.

Customised Ring Setting

Heart-shaped diamonds are not constraint to just classic solitaire or halo diamond design. With customised ring setting, we can even have minimum of 3 prongs on the main stone, with one side of the prong on the vulnerable tip for security and protection.

Prong Setting

The size of the diamond matters a lot when it comes to ring setting. When the diamond is smaller in size, 3 prong setting is recommended as it does not cover too much of the diamond which might be overwhelming to it.

Twisting on the ring bands, known as “infinity knots”. With alternate row of diamonds or full diamond setting.

Side Stone Setting

Matching the heart-shaped with a pair of coloured gemstones? They could be sweet pinkish sapphire or neon greenish blue paraiba tourmaline, give a unique and stunning look to the brilliant heart.

Customised Jewellery

There are just too many options available with customised jewellery, and we believe that the jewellery should personalised and couture to your style. Each precious  gemstones and design is unique and one-of-a-kind. More of our latest update in the Highlights!

Paraiba Tourmaline Rough

Paraiba Tourmaline Gemstone rough

Why Paraiba Tourmaline so valuable and rare, known as one of the rarest gemstones in the world?

Rough paraiba tourmalines can only be found in small and tiny veins. Extremely rare to find Paraiba in bigger carat size, where prices increases significantly after 2.0 carat.

Every piece of Paraiba rough mined underground is very precious, that miners required manual tools like wedges and hammers to prevent damages in them, as compared to machinery assistance. The process of mining is more intensive as compared to other coloured gemstone.

They come with many natural inclusion such as bubble and needle-like. Due to the neon appearance and fine brilliance, such inclusion is tolerable in the market. Paraiba tourmaline with good clarity and electric-neon brilliance cost more than diamonds.

Pink Spinel Ring

Pink Spinel Ring with Halo Diamond

When it comes to fine jewellery, few gemstones captivate the heart like a pink spinel ring. While pink sapphire has long dominated conversations about coloured gemstones, pink spinel is emerging as a strong contender in its own right. From its mesmerising hues to its remarkable rarity, pink spinel is undoubtedly in a class of its own. Let’s dive into what makes pink spinel so special and why it deserves a spot in your jewellery collection.

Pink spinel comes in a variety of shades, from soft pastel pinks to vibrant hot pinks. The rarest and most sought-after pink spinels are vivid, electric hues, particularly those from Mahenge, Tanzania. Known as Mahenge pink spinels, these gems boast an otherworldly fluorescence, making them glow with intense brilliance under natural and artificial light.

Pink Spinel vs Pink Sapphire

In comparison, pink sapphire often leans towards a deeper saturation or cooler undertones. Pink spinel’s shades are unique, offering a softer, more luminous appearance that appeals to those seeking a romantic and feminine aesthetic. Additionally, due to its singular reflective index, spinel tends to reflect more brilliance compared to sapphire, regardless of the shape or cut. This means that a pink spinel ring often appears more vibrant and sparkly, capturing light in a way that truly enhances its natural beauty.

The discussion between pink spinel and pink sapphire isn’t just about beauty but it’s also about value. Pink spinel is generally more affordable than untreated pink sapphire of comparable quality, but this is rapidly changing.

Due to its increasing demand and rarity, pink spinel prices have surged in recent years. Mahenge pink spinels, in particular, are fetching premium prices, sometimes rivalling those of high-quality sapphires. However, pink spinel remains a more accessible option for those looking to own a rare, untreated gemstone at a relatively affordable price.

Spinel: A Different Class of Gemstone

What sets spinel apart from other gemstones is its natural purity and brilliance. Unlike sapphires and rubies, which are often heat-treated to enhance their colour and clarity, spinel typically requires no enhancement. Its natural beauty is enough to captivate gemstone enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Spinel also comes in a dazzling array of colours, from pastel lavender and fiery red to striking cobalt blue and even padparadscha-like shades. This versatility adds to its allure, making it a favourite for bespoke jewellery designs.

Is Spinel Worthy as an Investment Gemstone?

Spinel is gaining recognition as a strong investment gemstone, standing alongside untreated sapphires and rubies. Cobalt blue spinel is indeed rare, however if you are looking at one with 5 figures per carat premium. why not consider other options? Its rarity and increasing demand make it a promising option, but potential buyers should tread carefully.

  • Smart Investment Tips:
Investing in spinel, like any gemstone, requires an understanding of market trends and pricing. Overpaying for a gemstone. Particularly if red spinels are priced on par with untreated pigeon blood rubies, can diminish its investment potential.
  • Value in the Rare:
The true investment value lies in acquiring fine-quality, untreated spinels with excellent provenance. Mahenge pink spinels, for instance, are considered a collector’s dream due to their unique fluorescence and limited availability.

Pink Spinel: A Perfect Engagement Ring Gemstone

A pink spinel ring is a perfect alternative to traditional diamond rings, offering a unique blend of beauty, durability, and brilliance. With a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale, pink spinel is resilient enough for daily wear while radiating a natural sparkle that captivates in any light.

One stunning example is this pink spinel wedding ring set in rose gold. Which features a sweet pink spinel with excellent cut and luster, elegantly accented with brilliant round diamonds. Crafted take stack seamlessly to wedding bands, these custom ring embodies sophistication and personal style. Certainly an exceptional choice for a unique engagement ring that stands out with timeless charm.

Synthetic Spinel

The growing popularity of spinel has unfortunately led to the rise of synthetic versions. Always ensure your gemstone is certified by a reputable gemmology laboratory, or at least an independent one. A certificate guarantees the authenticity of your spinel and provides valuable information about its origin and quality.

A Treasure Worthy of Your Collection

A custom pink spinel ring is a statement of uniqueness and timeless beauty. Whether you’re looking for a gemstone engagement ring or a gemstone with strong investment potential, pink spinel ticks all the right boxes.
