Exquisite Craftsmanship & Experience
What is customised jewellery?
Customised jewellery offers a deeply personal experience, where gemstones like family birthstones are thoughtfully incorporated into individual designs, from wedding rings to heirlooms. Customised jewellery in Singapore remains a popular expression of style, increasingly popular with millennials and future generations. It promises exquisite craftsmanship and an exclusive experience. You can create personalised design with our designers by considering elements that best represent you and your style choices. Whether you are looking for a unique customised engagement ring or a personalised anniversary pendant, you can have them all customised. Apart from that, it can also be a memorable modern heirloom that your heirs will cherish and treasure forever.

Personalised Touch
Hidden Motifs & Meaningful Characters
True personalisation goes beyond engraving a name; it is about weaving your unique love story into the very metal and stone of the ring. It allows you to express your true personality through hidden details that only you and your partner recognise.
Take, for example, our signature violetish-blue spinel ring. At first glance, it is a stunning gemstone ring with marquise diamonds. However, a closer look reveals a subtle, intricate nod to the couple’s shared bond, a hidden Penguin and Rabbit nestled within the side gallery. These motifs transform a beautiful anniversary ring into a deep symbol of family heritage, blending high-end artistry with profound personal symbolism.

The GIOIA Quality
We take immense pride in designing each piece of customised jewellery. We infuse passion into every single piece that we design. Each project that we undertake is more of an art piece to us. There is so much that goes into it. The intricacy and fine detailing that go into a design set the standard we hold in every commission. Every gemstone that enters a commission is personally sourced and assessed by Clarence Yee, our co-founder, before any design work begins.
Each piece deserves to be called an heirloom treasure. Our creative designers design and personalise them to match the wearer’s style and preferences. It takes hours and even days to finalise the jewellery design to perfection right from the moment of the initial inspiration.
The high level of coordination between the designers and the master craftsman is also a time-intensive process. We actively oversee each stage of the process at every point in time, ensuring that no detail is overlooked. We take into consideration every single detail until the final product exactly matches the design that we envisioned.
Participating in the journey from a hand-drawn sketch to the final masterwork fosters a profound emotional connection. You carry the memories of every design decision from the chosen curve and set stone to the making of the final piece, an intimate part of your story.

Customised Heirlooms
Customised jewellery is not just a present-day expression of style; it is an heirloom in the making. These pieces are designed to be passed down through generations, connecting the past with the future. This fireworks-inspired emerald and diamond bracelet is a stunning custom design, crafted to be versatile as both a pendant and bracelet for casual wear.
The brilliance of round-cut diamonds adds a sparkling touch to this unique creation, carefully crafted by our expert craftsmen with attention to every detail. This piece is more than an emerald high jewellery; it is a cherished heirloom that can be passed down through generations. At GIOIA Fine Jewellery, we craft heirloom pieces that bridge the past with the future, creating lasting memories that hold deep sentimental value.

Bespoke High Jewellery: Where Design Begins With the Stone
At GIOIA Fine Jewellery, bespoke and customised are not two separate services. They are the same commitment at different levels of complexity. Every commission begins with a blank canvas and a specific gemstone. The design is built entirely around that stone’s unique dimensions, colour character, and personality. What emerges is a piece that can never be replicated for another client, because no two stones are identical and no two clients bring the same story to the table.
Bespoke Animal Jewellery: Beyond the Classic Solitaire
Many of our clients come to us not with a gemstone in mind but with a feeling, a spirit animal, a shared symbol, a motif that means something only to the two of them. Translating that into wearable fine jewellery requires a different kind of design thinking. The form has to feel alive, not decorative.

Customised Jewellery Design Experience
We have a personalised custom process that begins with a private appointment with our designers. You can share your preferences about the gems and the design. You can also add a special touch to the design by sharing elements that hold the most meaning for the person for whom you are customising the design.
Though hunting for the right gem is a cumbersome process, it may not be as tough as it seems for us. We have a massive selection of the finest quality gems. Whether you are looking for the rarest of the rare padparadscha sapphire or an unheated pigeon blood ruby, we have it all. One of the most sought-after and rare gems will definitely be the exceptional neon Paraiba tourmalines.

Collaborative Design: Bringing Vague Ideas to Life
Often, clients come to us with a feeling or a vague concept rather than a clear picture. We love these challenges. One gentleman approached us wanting a stackable ring, but he disliked the standard “sit-beside” look. He wanted the two rings to sit as one continuous piece, with no visible gap between them.
Through collaborative brainstorming and technical sketching, we engineered a unique Bypass Dual Ring featuring Tanzanite and Tourmaline. Unlike traditional designs, we crafted this piece so the wedding band stacks between the bypass ring, locking into the gap perfectly rather than sitting on the side. This is the GIOIA difference: we don’t just set stones; we engineer comfort and innovative style to match your vision.
Undoubtedly, each rare gem has its own unique story. Designs usually surround the centre main gem. It is all about choosing the ideal gemstone with the right shade and intensity instead of the gem fitting into jewellery design. We love discussing design ideas by knowing more about our clients on their likes and dislikes. We also listen to their design ideas and quickly sketch their ideas so as to check if we are on the same page.

Endless Possibilities with Customised Jewellery
With customised jewellery, we can craft designs that are elegant and classic, similar to ballerina jewellery designs. On the other hand, design can be more complex and playful with natural themes like colourful butterfly jewellery. Scaled designs of final pieces offer a different perspective view and allow you to have a better visualisation of the jewellery piece.
Subsequently, after the approval from the client, we keep close communication on the design with our master craftsmen, constantly keeping a tab on the progress until the final piece has been crafted to perfection and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Wedding Jewellery customised for Millennial brides
This wedding jewellery set moves away from traditional gold pieces in favour of a modern, hand-drawn design built specifically for the bride wearing it. The set spans earrings and a bangle, both custom-made in lustrous mother of pearl.
The mother of pearl is set with round brilliant diamonds, arranged into an abstract monogram of the couple’s initials, ‘G & C’. A matching moonstone pendant completes the set.
Every piece was designed and finished by hand, from the initial sketch to the final polish, the kind of detailing that separates a custom-made set from anything off-the-shelf.

Personalised Birthstone Cross Pendant
A Union of Peace and Belief
Beyond a religious symbol, our signature cross and dove creation is a vibrant celebration of a life well-lived. At its heart lies the Christian cross, an enduring symbol of faith, paired with a soaring dove representing peace and spiritual connection.
What sets this piece apart is the radiant ‘rainbow’ of gemstones that surrounds it. Each coloured gem in this halo is carefully chosen to represent a family member or a significant life milestone. Together, they create a union of diversity, harmony, and hope, serving as a wearable reminder of the unique bonds that guide us through our personal journey.
This customised jewellery features a heart shape pink sapphire and trilliant shape bluish-green tourmaline. We customised this pair of gemstone cross pendants with each other’s birthstones, reflecting the everlasting bond of the cousins. Not only is a cross pendant worn by Christianity, but it also holds a significant sentimental value.

Customised Fine Jewellery
This fine jewellery duck pendant belongs to our high jewellery range, and animal pieces like this are harder to get right than they look. A ring is built around a single stone. A pendant like this has to hold a recognisable creature together across gold, gemstones, and diamonds without turning into a caricature.
The plumage is worked in 18K yellow gold, with each feather individually defined so the surface catches light the way real plumage does rather than sitting flat. The beak and feet are cast in rose gold and left matte on purpose. It’s the contrast between the warm sheen of the textured yellow gold and the softer matte rose gold that keeps the bird reading as a bird rather than a slab of metal. The wings carry a mix of coloured gemstones and round brilliant diamonds, set closely enough to suggest feather layering rather than a flat row of stones.
The eyes are vivid green tsavorite garnets, a variety of grossular garnet discovered in East Africa in the late 1960s and named after Tsavo National Park in Kenya. Unlike sapphire or ruby, tsavorite is never heat treated. Its colour is exactly what came out of the ground. That’s part of why it holds so much saturation even at eye scale. A straight pavé line of rubies runs around the collar, a band of warm red against all that green and gold. Getting a bird’s anatomy to read correctly in precious metal is unforgiving work. There’s nowhere to hide an uneven line the way there is on a ring shank.
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about customised jewellery process. Better understand how to create a jewellery with an idea you have in mind.
How much does customised jewellery cost?
The cost of customised jewellery varies based on the materials, gemstones, and design complexity. At GIOIA Fine Jewellery, we offer non-obligation quotes based on your design preferences, ensuring you get a piece built around your style and comfortable price range.
What types of jewellery can be customised?
We offer customisation for a wide range of jewellery pieces, including proposal rings, wedding bands, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and even men’s jewellery lapel pins. Whether you have a specific piece in mind or want to create an entire set, our designers will guide you through the process of transforming your vision into reality.
How long does it take to create a customised jewellery piece?
The timeline for creating customised jewellery depends on the complexity of the design and material. On average, it takes 10 to 12 weeks to craft a custom piece, from the initial consultation to the final creation. However, more intricate designs may take longer. We ensure that every step, from design sketches to the final polish, is done with the utmost care and precision.
*We recommend starting your customisation journey at least 3 months before your wedding or proposal date. Especially during peak periods like year-end and Chinese New Year when our schedule fills quickly.
Do I need to have a design in mind before visiting a jeweller?
Not necessarily! You can start with some inspiration or a rough idea, such as flora, ribbon, vintage art deco style. At GIOIA Fine Jewellery, we will help you come up with a design that best suits you.
What happens if I don’t like the final design?
Your satisfaction is our top priority, which is why we’re always open to hearing your feedback and understanding your design preferences. Before the final piece is made, we offer adjustments during the approval stage to ensure every detail is just right. We’ll work with you closely until you’re completely happy with the design, ensuring the finished piece exceeds your expectations.
How do I choose an investment-grade gemstone for my bespoke piece?
Selecting an investment-grade gemstone requires a balance of passion and technical knowledge. At GIOIA, we guide you through the nuances of rarity, focusing on unheated sapphires and rubies with vivid saturation (such as Pigeon Blood or Royal Blue) and exceptional clarity. We ensure that your bespoke customised jewellery serves as both a wearable work of art and a valuable asset for the future.
How do I ensure the craftsmanship is high quality?
Top-quality craftsmanship is at the heart of GIOIA. We work with experienced master craftsmen who take immense pride in their work. We implement structured, multi-layer quality checks, from the precision of the gemstone setting to the flawless finish of the metalwork, ensuring that when you invest in our bespoke jewellery, you are investing in quality that lasts a lifetime.
Are the gemstones and diamonds used in your jewellery natural?
Without exception, yes. Every coloured gemstone and every diamond that goes into a GIOIA commission is entirely natural. We do not work with synthetic stones, lab-grown gemstones, or lab-grown diamonds at any level of our offering. Beyond that, every diamond that enters our workshop undergoes verification checks before it is set, confirming natural origin as part of our standard quality control process, not as an optional add-on.
What complimentary services does GIOIA include with every piece?
Every commission includes a one-time complimentary engraving and a one-time ring resizing where applicable. Beyond that, we provide lifetime complimentary jewellery cleaning for every piece we have made. When you bring your jewellery in for cleaning, we also carry out a full integrity check, inspecting every setting and confirming all stones are secure. It is our way of making sure a piece that was made to last actually does.
What materials does GIOIA use in Customised jewellery?
Every piece we craft is made in either 18K (750) gold or Platinum PT950. Within our gold range, we work across Champagne Gold in its natural white form, White Gold, Rose Gold, Yellow Gold, and Black Gold; the choice is always driven by what best serves the design and complements the centre stone. For diamonds, our baseline is full-cut F or G colour at VS clarity as a minimum. We do not negotiate on this regardless of the piece or the budget involved.
